MarshFleet

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

This policy explains what personal data MarshFleet collects through marshfleet.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. In short: we collect what we need to answer your equipment inquiry, we route it to the supplier(s) who can serve you, and we never sell it.

1. Who we are

MarshFleet (“MarshFleet”, “we”, “us”) operates the B2B marketplace at marshfleet.com connecting buyers of amphibious and wetland machinery with independent manufacturers, dealers and rental operators. For personal data collected through this website, MarshFleet is the data controller.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Request-for-quote data you submit through AmphiCalc™, product RFQ forms or the contact page: full name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, company name, destination country/port, project preferences (equipment type, scale, environment, budget) and any notes you provide.
  • Equipment inquiries context: the listing pages you request quotes for, so suppliers can respond with accurate offers.
  • Usage data: if analytics is enabled, pages visited and approximate location derived from IP address, collected via Google Analytics 4 cookies. These cookies load only after you accept our on-site cookie banner, with IP anonymization; you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.

3. Cookies we place

  • Essential — destination preference (mf_destination_country): stores the destination country you pick in the header so equipment listings, emission-compliance routing and landed-cost estimates reflect your choice site-wide. It contains only a country code — no identifiers, no tracking, never shared — and is exempt from cookie consent because the site cannot provide the service you explicitly requested without it. Expires after 12 months or when you clear site data.
  • Analytics — optional (Google Analytics 4): loaded only after you accept our cookie banner, with IP anonymization. See section 2.

4. How we use your data

  • To respond to your RFQ and prepare quotations or landed-cost estimates (performance of a contract / steps prior to entering a contract).
  • To forward your inquiry to the verified supplier(s) relevant to your request — this is the core marketplace service you initiate when submitting an RFQ.
  • To follow up by email, phone or WhatsApp regarding your inquiry (legitimate interest; you may object at any time).
  • To measure site performance and improve content (consent, via optional analytics cookies).

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the marketplace:

  • Suppliers — the verified manufacturer/dealer assigned to answer your inquiry, receiving the details you submitted.
  • Service providers — website hosting (Vercel, Inc.), database storage (Supabase), and transactional email delivery (Resend), each processing data on our instructions.
  • Analytics — Google LLC (Google Analytics 4), only when enabled.
  • Authorities — where required by applicable law.

6. International transfers

MarshFleet is a global marketplace: your inquiry may be transferred to suppliers and service providers located outside your country — including the United States, the European Economic Area and Asia. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. By submitting an RFQ you acknowledge this international routing is necessary to fulfil your request.

7. Retention

RFQ records are kept for up to 24 months after your last interaction so we and our suppliers can service repeat inquiries, unless a longer period is required by law. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see section 8).

8. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS, stored in a managed PostgreSQL service with row-level security, and lead records are only writable through a restricted server-side key. Access is limited to personnel and suppliers who need it to answer your inquiry. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we review our safeguards regularly.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

  • Access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you;
  • Object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent (e.g. for analytics);
  • Receive your data in a portable format;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and you may request to know what we collect or request deletion.

To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

10. Children

This is a B2B site directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the marketplace evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new “last updated” date above.
